I've ordered a compost bin from the council scheme - these are happenin over much of the UK where you can buy compost bins at low prices (sometimes even for free but I haven't seen those schemes for a while)

They come in all sizes to suit every household Mr. Green

My compost bin arrived yesterday and is in place next to the shed with a few bits of rubbish around the garden inside Mr. Green

The bin is surprisingly small though so I might end up getting another one next year Laughing

Supposed to be, but very little rotting has taken place since installing it late last year.

i got one from my councoil at last house and mine was huge took me all year to fill it ..and it rots down as fast as you fiill it up but the compost was good from it just the job for organic matter for your veg..I havnt the room here for one so its not even a option.the compost bins from council are a good buy and at least it gets rid of waste..windy has a bokoshi food digestor as well for all their waste food and she gets loads of plant food from that but i think its expensive as the chemicals you have to buy to digest the food are a lot of money..think its about £30 maybe a bit more and it lasts a few months..

My mum has one, but I don't think she bothers much with it now as all our food scraps go to the pigs at the sanctuary I volunteer at.
