My greenhouse is pretty much planted up!

On Tuesday I planted Amsterdam 3 carrots, Parmex carrots, little gem and tom thumb lettuce, 2 varieties of cucumber and 2 types of beetroot! Unfortunately the watering can decided to break while I was watering them (so I need a new one now) and they got a bit of a soaking but hopefully they'll be ok. Wednesday saw the grape vine move in to the greenhouse. Yesterday (Thursday) I got my 2 varieties of Kale, mini-parsnips and 2 varieties of mini turnip planted in ther containers! Now all I have to do is wait and see what grows... Laughing

Try Peas and Radishes. They are dead easy, even we managed them!

My greenhouse is completed! I bought 3 staging shelves yesterday and that gives me LOADS of room to grow things.

Today I was busy putting up the shelves and planting some new crops (baby & early nantes carrots, Solo and Cylinda beetroot, Tokyo & Aramis turnips and 2 peas)

Everything else so far seems to be growing nicely. The Kale is doing well as are the turnips I planted earlier. On Tuesday I got my seed potatoes planted but I used all 3 of the big tubs I had so now I need to find some more ready for my next lot of tatties that should be arriving soon! Arg!

I still have carrots in the ground. When one of the kids came round to play with the dog, she asked what they were and I told her and she didn't even know what a Carrot was!

I pulled one out of the ground and ate and said she could have one too. She pulled it out the ground herself and ate it. She loved it, so I gave her some to take home for her tea.

Now she went from not even knowing what they were to loving them in one bite!

That is my random story of the day!

Well I planted some more Kale today since my other crop is getting nibbled on (by me!) and some perpetual spinach as well to give that a try. Everything except the lettuce is doing well so I'm very please Mr. Green
