Got a new visitor today. It was a..............
Woodpecker!
It went away when a train went passed and never came back. _________________

I'm starting to think that the Buzzard thinks he's a Crow! Yesterday I came across a mouldy slice of bread so I threw it out of the window knowing that the Crows would munch on it. Well I was right, a Crow came and took the whole thing and flew away, except the Buzzard had other s. It decided to steal the bread from the Crow in flight. I have no what the Buzzard would want with bread?!
Not much later the Crow had come to the table to steal nuts and seeds, when the Buzzard wanted some of the action! Again, why would the Buzzard bother with nuts and seeds?! Also, I noticed the Crows didn't give the Buzzard as much grief as they usually do with other Buzzards.
The House Martins are still attentive as ever and all the usual suspects are still visiting the feeder and with increased numbers! _________________

So cute Shame you couldn't have filmed that!
Niger seed needs a special seed feeder but they should have them at the Basin shop. _________________ x Kat x

They used to cut them back. But I guess they just decided to get rid of the whole lot!
It's a catch 22. If you have trees near the line you get leaves on the line and you all know what happens to Trains when they come across leaves. But they cut the trees down and there is nothing to 'root' the ground and they get landslips!
Personally speaking I find it like sending the Army into a nursery for a crying baby!
I still look out the window out of habit. There is sometimes a pigeon!
I have no where the birds have all gone. There is a line of trees separating fields further along and bushes along the roadside. But I haven't seen any. _________________
