What are your views on this scheme?

I think in theory it is a good idea

but needs to be done properly - i.e. with the waste been collected weekly - otherwise the waste will just attact rodents, flies and other pests (which the council will then complain about and fine homehowners for!). The idea

of having to have seperate bins for different recycables though is rediculous, all it does is clutter up the streets on collection day and create confusion as to what goes out when. Plus it will give those that collect the stuff more of an excuse to leave stuff because someone accidentally threw a crumpled bit of paper in the plastics box Rolling Eyes

Well i wouldnt mind a food refuse container as long as it didnt smell Mr. Green

I allready have a very green council who do recycling for allmost everything and even try to make us plant trees they provide and bulbs..i have a garden waste bin a tin and glass bin a cardboard and plastic bin and a normal everyday bin..

One of the biggest waste item and they don't collect it!
