I've seen this advertised a lot - Ariel Excel Gel that cleans clothes in cold water. Anyone going to try it? Our washing machine doesn't have temperature control so I can't test this for myself!
Here is their website -

I'm not in charge of washing powder generally, however we've tried the hand wash kinda stuff before, when we've stayed on hotels we've taken some along to wash through a small amount of stuff if we needed it in the sink provided.
I'm some most general washes it will work fine with, there's no reason why not.

The temperature on ours can't be changed because it's old, my aunts goes down to at least 20 degrees C though If (or rather when) we get a new machine we'll get one that allows the temperature to be altered

Mine runs on cold water and I love it... I like using baking soda to clean my laundry. It works great and it doesnt effect my family's skin allergies. i use it as a stain remover too. I make a paste with the baking soda and a little water, work it into the stain, spray with vinegar and let it do its thing!
