The EU is set to ban the import of seal fur from Canada and other countries using cruel methods following the outcry after horrific images of seal clubbing. Canada is expected to mount a legal response to any ban.

I'm glad to hear it! Less demand means less production in most cases.. and this is definitly one area my country could do without! I see the footage of this "tradition" and it makes me sick to my stomach.

I hate the seal clubbing, they really play it up on the news here. I don't know why they think that it's good fun to run around and beat baby seals with a bat. I'm sure they wouldn't like it if they seals beat them.

thats left me with a very interesting image though, baby seals beating up people with a bat!
