With the increases in food prices do you think more people will turn to growing their own vegetables and even keeping their own livestock? My aunt has said if she had the time she would convert one of the sheds into a chicken coop and keep a few chickens for the eggs, and of course I've made steps towards growing my own veggies. So, do you think I am part of a trend towards growing your own?

The Wildlife Trust in London is encourage people to use their green space to grow veg and turn it into a haven for wildlife.

I think the WT are onto a good thing there - right now is probably a time when people will start to listen to s to grow their own.

I hope you're right. My mom always grew her own herbs and veggies. I'm starting to as well and its something that I will teach my own children.

Absolutely, my depression is helped immensely when I'm out in the sun and fresh air, getting exercise and watching things come to life! Knowing that I'm having a small part in relieving the strain on our earth gives me a sense of purpose and joy, too!
