The (IWC) meets from June 23rd - 27th in Santiago, Chile, to make decisions about issues affecting whales. The Commission members may consider a proposal to create a South Atlantic Whale Sanctuary that will extend across the South Atlantic, from the coast of South America to the coast of Africa.
