Yeah, bring back glass bottles and have them be returned to the shop to be cleaned and re-used!

I wouldn't drink cows milk anyway. That said. Wouldn't the cardboard carton or glass bottle be more environmentally friendly as they are recyclable (is that even a word?)?

Where I live (Ontario, Canada) we get most of our milk in bags. Its way more simple than he's showing it. We just put ours in an oval shaped pitcher, snip the tip of the corner off and pour. I still prefer to buy mine in plastic jugs as they are recycleable and the bags aren't (that i know of).
